Data Deletion Policy

Your data, your choice
You have the right to request complete deletion of all personal data we hold about you. We will process your request within 30 days and send you a confirmation email once complete.
What data we hold
- • Account profile — your name and email address received from Google sign-in
- • Saved recipes — any recipes you bookmarked while signed in
- • Newsletter subscription — your email if you subscribed
- • Order history — purchase records linked to your account via Stripe
How to request deletion
Send an email to hello@hillbougielife.com with the subject line "Data Deletion Request" and include:
- • The email address associated with your account
- • Whether you'd like full deletion or specific data removed (e.g., newsletter only)
What happens after your request
- 1We verify your identity using the email you provide.
- 2We delete your account data, saved recipes, and newsletter subscription from our database.
- 3We send a confirmation email within 30 days of receiving your request.
Facebook / Meta data
If you used Facebook Login or interacted with our Facebook Comments embed, some data may also be held by Meta. To delete data held by Facebook, visit Facebook's data deletion request page. We do not control data stored by Meta.
Data we cannot delete
Certain records may be retained as required by law (e.g., financial transaction records required for tax purposes). We will inform you of any such exceptions when processing your request.
Newsletter unsubscribe
To stop receiving newsletters without deleting your full account, you can unsubscribe here at any time.
